Ford C-Max has launched their 2018 that has earned a lot of popularity including a refined ride, a smarter handling and comfortable interior maintaining high-quality standards. For most buyers, though, the 2018 Ford C-Max Hybrid should serve well as a versatile and reasonably efficient vehicle.
The Harrisburg Ford dealer has shared their valuable insights on the updates of this model observed in its latest 2018 model.
What is new in the 2018 version
Though there is not much noticeable difference from its 2017 version, Ford has decided to drop the C-Max Energi plug-in model from their list of 2018 lineup, leaving the C-Max Hybrid unchanged from its last year model.
The five-passenger Ford wagon 2018 C-Max Hybrid is now made available in two special trim levels. The SE and the Titanium. While the SE is a budget vehicle, with every functionality in place, the Titanium is focused more on luxury features.
Performance and Fuel Economy
With the combination of 2.0-liter engine and an electric motor it is able to produce 188 of horsepower with about 40 mpg in combined trips that include city and highway driving where the CVT channelizes all the power to the front wheels.
The 2018 Ford C-Max has earned four stars out of five for its overall safety rating. Tests conducted by IIHS rewarded the C-Max as the second-highest in their front crash test. All this was due to the latest blind-spot monitoring system in the hatchback that is supported by a rear-cross traffic alert. The Titanium Driver Assist package includes a good number of front parking sensors helping the self-parking system work perfectly. The rearview camera and an SOS post-crash alert system are added to the other standard safety features.
Cargo and Interior Space
The 2018 C-Max offers a spacious 24.5 cubic feet of cargo space lurking behind the rear seats and a huge space of 52.6 cubic feet when the rear seats get folded down. To make all the passengers relax and experience a comfortable ride even when the car is full, it has given the front seat passengers a legroom of 43.1 inches while the rear seat passengers can stretch themselves with 36.5 inches of legroom.
The C-Max is equipped with a standard set of the Sync infotainment system that has all the connectivity options like USB and auxiliary ports and a 110-volt power outlet for other mobile devices. Sync 3 has been installed as the upgraded infotainment system with a touchscreen display if 8.0-inch. Moreover, the SiriusXM satellite offers online radio and a navigation system that can be availed as optional features. As told to us by the Harrisburg Ford dealer, the entertainment system in the vehicle is empowered by a six-speaker audio system as standard and if you like a nine-speaker Sony sound system can be tagged along with the HD radio feature.
While having a ride in the C-Max, its extra-large windows give you the openness and you can enjoy the surrounding with a natural all-around visibility. As a family car the C-Max succeeds with its ample storage compartments and a galore of power outlets that let you bear the fruit of owning the latest vehicle from a trusted brand like Ford.
